History
The HF6 Steel Works Power Station in Belgium was originally built to serve as an auxiliary power source for the steel production facilities in the region. The Power Station played a key role in powering the blast furnaces and other energy-intensive operations during the height of Belgium’s industrial era.
As the steel industry began to decline in the late 20th century due to global competition and shifts in manufacturing trends, facilities like HF6 became obsolete. By the 2000s, the Power Station was decommissioned and left abandoned.
