“Blackburn Open Walls (BOW) is an artist run initiative, designed to bring communities together in conversation and creative inspiration, through street art. Over two weeks forgotten walls of Blackburn are brought to life with the creation of a vibrant outdoor gallery, by international, national and local artists, who together create a collection of large scale murals and art walk trails for the residents and visitors of Blackburn to enjoy. Aiming to use the power of art in public spaces to improve northern towns like Blackburn town centre, Blackburn Open Walls highlights it as a place for artists and communities to express their creativity, engage in creative conversations and believing ‘together is a beautiful place to be’.”
