Power Station Adamow, Poland

History
Adamow power station is a five-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 600 MW. The plant was completed between 1964 and 1966, and is owned by ZEPAK, which is co-owned by Elektrim SA (39%), the state (50%), and employees (10%). The decommissioning of the facility is planned by the end of 2017. Poland has repeatedly sought the extension of the plant’s operations with the European Commission. The plant was closed down on January 1, 2018.
